Greenville, SC – The Custom Content Council presented the EnVeritas Group with two Pearl Awards for work the firm did on behalf of its client, Carlson. The Pearl Awards celebrate excellence in custom content, across print, digital and other media platforms. Custom content providers both small and large, which produced B2B and B2C programs across multiple outlets, submitted a record 638 entries in 30 categories.
EnVeritas Group joined the Custom Content Council in January and this was the first time they entered the Pearl Awards. One hundred and sixty guests gathered on November 7 to celebrate the custom industry’s highest honors at Guastavino’s in New York City.
“It was a real thrill for our team to go to New York City to accept these awards. This was our first time entering the awards and the Custom Content Council doesn’t announce the winners until the actual event. We were very excited to take home a gold award for best microsite and a silver award for best return on investment in the digital category,” said Brice Bay, CEO of EnVeritas Group.
Gold, silver and bronze awards were presented in the areas of design, editorial and strategic initiatives in print and digital custom media, focusing on the best new, ongoing and improved publications and websites. For the strategy category, over 30 judges rate each entry on how well the publications or websites complement the client’s integrated marketing campaigns and how well they prove a return on investment.

In order to achieve Carlson’s objectives of driving more traffic and increasing overall bookings for the brands’ microsites, the EnVeritas Group content team conducted a phone interview campaign with each hotel manager in order to identify and craft content about the unique features of every property, as well as the surrounding neighborhood and nearby attractions. Once the interviews were complete, the EnVeritas Group writers honed in on the site-specific information and crafted unique content about each location in order to increase search engine rankings for the specific keywords that drive overall website traffic.
The Carlson hotel microsite program also incorporates thousands of different marketing programs and promotional offers. In order to accommodate and communicate each hotel’s individual offers, EnVeritas Group created a custom Message Board system for Carlson to submit special promotions. For example, a hotel might want to advertise a special “bed and breakfast offer” for a family visiting Washington, D.C. Last year, EnVeritas Group processed more than 1,000 specials per month or a total of 14,880 Message Board requests from Carlson using this system.
